We are delighted to be opening Waterloo Community Garden to visitors on Open Farm Sunday for the third year in a row! We have fun activities for all the family, including building a bug hotel, sowing seeds in a pot to take home, and you can get involved in the gardening by helping us to plant out vegetable seedlings. Find out about what we do at the community garden and how we use the “no dig” approach.
Have a tour of Waterloo Cottage Farm and meet the free-range, pasture-fed animals (pigs, piglets, cows and sheep).
Take part in a pork pie making workshop.
Wine tasting (no need to book)
Wood carving with Liam
Watch Angel make a chainsaw animal
Learn how to make herbal remedies with Julia
Lunch and drinks will be available to buy: pulled pork and apple sauce rolls, roast beef and horseradish rolls, strawberry tarts, tea and coffee, soft drinks, wine and beer by the glass.
A new business, Country Bumpkin Yurts, will be launching on the farm that day, so you can be among the first to see the Mongolian yurts.
